Worship and Praise Sunday: Trading My Sorrows

I have missed this meme – a LOT. I'm glad to be able to participate this week! :-)

This is Trading My Sorrows by Darrell Evans. This was one of the first songs I got to sing as part of the choir at our church. LOVE this song. LOVE it!

If you wanna play, there's a Linky HERE.

Worship and Praise Sunday: More Faithful

This week I chose More Faithful by Skillet. (See? I LOVE Skillet! LOL) This actually is the song by which I discovered Skillet. It was what I needed to hear when I needed to hear it. I was struggling (mostly financially) making it through my senior year of college, and this song really ministered to me. I love singing this to God. He truly is faithful. There is no one – and no THING – more faithful than He.

All the things my feet thought to be firm
Are falling with urgency
Tearing back my false sense of security

Some say things change, nothing stays the same
But the sweetness in my ears
Safe in your arms speak the words I love to hear

You have been more faithful than the morning sun
You have been more faithful than knowing the night will come
You have been more faithful than the changing of seasons

All things I thought that I used to know
Are falling down again

Our disillusionment is how we grow
Some say things change, nothing stays the same
In a world of inconsistency
When everything's a lie,

What can cause my heart to believe
You have been more faithful than the morning sun
You have been more faithful than knowing the night will come
You have been more faithful than the changing of seasons

You have been more faithful than the morning sun
You have been more faithful than knowing the night will come
You have been more faithful than the morning sun
You have been more faithful than knowing the night will come
You have been more faithful than the changing of seasons

Worship and Praise Sunday: You Are So Good to Me

This week I chose "You Are So Good to Me" by Third Day. I love, love, love this song. I could listen to it over and over and over again.

You are so good to me
You heal my broken heart
You are my Father in heaven [2x]

You ride upon the clouds
You lead me to the truth
You are the Spirit inside me [2x]

You poured out all your blood
You died upon the cross
You are my Jesus who loves me [2x]

[Chorus:]
You are beautiful my sweet, sweet, song [3x]
I will sing again

[Bridge:]
You are my strong melody
You are my dancing rhythm
You are my perfect rhyme
And I want to sing forever

Worship and Praise Sunday: I'm Still Yours

I stumbled upon this earlier today on Leah's blog. You can join in on Worship and Praise Sunday by visiting Jen's blog.

I chose "I'm Still Yours" by Kutless. It's off their recently released "It Is Well" album, their latest praise and worship album. I LOVE this song!

If You washed away my vanity
If You took away my words
If all my world was swept away
Would You be enough for me?
Would my beating heart still sing?

If I lost it all
Would my hands stay lifted
To the God who gives and takes away

If You take it all
This life You've given
Still my heart will sing to You

When my life is not what I expected
The plans I made have failed
When there's nothing left to steal me away
Will You be enough for me?
Will my broken heart still sing?

If I lost it all
Would my hands stay lifted
To the God who gives
And takes away

If You take it all
This life You've given
Still my heart
Will sing to You

Even if You take it all away
You’ll never let me go
Take it all away
But I still know

That I'm Yours
I'm still Yours

Oh, I'm Yours
I'm still Yours
I'm still Yours

I hope it touches your heart the way it does mine. Have a blessed week!
