1. While at the beach, pool, etc..Do you cover up your assets or show them off? Back in my skinny days (or maybe I should say not-fat days) I showed them off. Nowadays, cover up. No one wants to see this!

2. Road trips or Plane trips? Depends on how far I'm going. If it's not too far, road. Otherwise, plane – I wanna get there fast!

3. I can't stand it when...? My kids are whiny and argumentative.

4. Have you ever gone topless at the beach? LMAO No way!

5. How many blog carnivals do you do a week? Between the two blogs, too many! But, they're fun, and I've made some great friends through them!

6. My favorite thing about the weekend is...? Having my husband home! :-)

Getting to Know You

Better late than never, right? Yesterday I was absorbed in my project – setting up Proud Book Nerd on its own domain – and switching to WordPress. In case you're wondering, I haven't decided whether to do that for this blog. Depends on how it goes with PBN. So, that's why I have been so quiet. I'm working behind the scenes on PBN. That said, let's get down to business! ;-)

My wedding dress. I still need to get it preserved ...

Soccer when I was in second grade.

Butterfly

My back – I hate when it hurts to wear a shirt and/or a bra.

5. Are you happy?

Overall, yes. God has been so good to me. I am very, very blessed.

6. People are always abbreviating..are there any abbreviations that make your skin crawl when people use them?

Sure, but none come to mind offhand. Well, except: DO NOT EVER CALL ME "Heath" (pronounced the same way as the first syllable of my name).

7. Do you love where you live..or could you live anywhere?

Eh. I like it because it is a nice area. No, I couldn't live anywhere. 

8. What, if any, extreme measures do you go to to keep yourself from overeating when you're full?

Sometimes I'll chew gum. I did the brushing-my-teeth thing for the first time recently, and that worked quite well. I think I need to do that more!

Not really.

Cat. Then I could sleep all day, soak up the sun rays, be pampered ...

I don't generally like to say "never" for much of anything. You just never know what might happen.

4. If someone posts a VLOG..do you watch it?

Not usually. And if I do, ONLY if it's short – as in 5 minutes or shorter.

Just the eyebrows.

Spender, unfortunately.

Tried smoking a little in high school, but didn't stick with it. YUCK!

Wear? Probably black. I wear black yoga pants a LOT, and if I'm wearing a different type of pants (not black), I often wear a black shirt.

Good gosh, I have no idea! It's been so long that I just couldn't even venture a guess!

You mean aside from books? I LOVE unicorns. Not the cartoonish, babyish ones. I like the GORGEOUS, elegant, regal ones – bonus if they have wings!

Umm... 14 or 15.

Nope. That's something I believe is EXTREMELY irresponsible, not to mention illegal in my home state of Illinois.

1 - Why did you start blogging?

I really struggled after my son was born, and was diagnosed with postpartum depression. I thought that maybe if I blogged it would help me work through things.

2 - Who's the one blog friend that you would want to meet most in "real life"?

Well, she's not really a blog friend – she's an online friend I met elsewhere who happens to have a blog. That would be my BFF, Chris!
 

3 - Why are you always concerned with losing that "extra 10 pounds" when chances are your husband/boyfriend/friends tell you that you look just fine the way you are?

Well, I'm not concerned with that – YET. I still have a lot of the extra baby weight to lose. I'll get back to  you when I know! ;-)

4 - What's the one thing you wish guys could understand about you?

What PMS is like. That they could see just how little control we have over how our bodies, minds, and emotions react to the regular hormonal fluctuations our bodies endure!

5 - Tattoos. How many do you have and how many are visible when you wear your "everyday" clothes?

Zero and zero.

6 - What was the best year of your life and why?

Oh, I dunno. I like to think that the best is yet to come, that my life will get better and better. By categorizing a past year as my best ever, I think it limits the rest of my years a bit!

7 - Name three things you would do if you were a man for one day.

What could I do as a man that I can't do as a woman? The only things I can think of are pee standing up, have an erection, and stuff like that. I don't feel any of that is stuff I need – or even want – to experience!

8 - What's your alcoholic drink of choice that usually raises a few eyebrows?

A mudslide, I guess. It doesn't really raise eyebrows, except for the fact that it means I'm drinking. I very rarely drink alcohol, so me drinking at all is noteworthy! ;-)

Umm ... I dunno. Part of me wants to say my hair, because it has been WAY too long since my last trim. But, I'm horrible about skincare, so perhaps that's it.

1. What's your favorite Easter candy?

Chocolate bunnies. I prefer the hollow ones, because they're easier to break up. LOL But, it's gotta be good chocolate (nothing cheap) - Hershey's, Lindt, Dove, etc.

I wanna say women, but I don't know. I can't BELIEVE the mess I've seen in women's bathrooms sometimes!

3. Which do you prefer..wordy blog posts or ones with pictures?

I like a healthy mixture of both. If it's REALLY good, I like the wordy ones. But I often don't want to take a lot of time to read it all, so pictures are good, too. After all, pictures are worth 1,000 words, right? ;-)

Nope.

5. What's your bra size?

I believe the bras I wear right now are 38DD, but don't quote me on that. In my efforts to lose weight, I've noticed I might be losing some of that - I sure hope so!

Two: Illinois and Iowa

There are so many blogs I read, I'm not sure there's any specific one that I read EVERY day.
